3 – Day: SERENGETI AND NGORONGORO CRATER
Arrival
Pick up at Kilimanjaro airport (depends on your flight schedule), we head towards the Karatu for dinner and overnight
Day 1 –Serengeti Plains
Early morning you will move to Serengeti national park via Ngorongoro crater rim. After arrival at Serengeti your guide will exactly know the best game drive route for you to spot the wildlife easily.
We will follow the Kopjes Circuit, which goes anti-clockwise around the Maasai Kopjes, which usually attract a number of lion. Kopjes are weathered granite outcrops, scattered around the plains, most of which are miniature ecosystems, providing shade and drinking water in pools left in the rock after the rains. This makes the kopjes particularly good for spotting wildlife in the dry seasons – including lions, which like to lie in wait for animals coming to drink!
Dinner and overnight at Serengeti heritage tented camps.
Day2: Serengeti – Ngorongoro crater
After breakfast at the lodge do we depart to Ngorongoro Conservation area, we will descend over 600 meters into the crater to view wildlife for a full day game drive. The Ngorongoro crater supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque, is its dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. We will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the south-western corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos and other water birds can usually been seen here Dinner and overnight at Rhino lodge.
Day 3: Ngorongoro to Arusha
Late breakfast at the hotel then drive back to Arusha for drop off, while on the way you will have time to pass through Maasai boma for a short cultural tour and curio shops to buy some gifts for friends and lovers at home.
